This is definitely not your run of the mill leather Birkin bag. It was a special order (we have never seen another one in 10 years) - the Hermes personnel always swoon over this bag. It doesn't go unnoticed!! Front: Body - good - Amazonia has acquired a nice patina. Please note that Amazonia does not have a uniform surface but shows several different color shades. It is rubber from a tree so please do not expect it to have the same aspect than leather. Hermes bag has a half moon ring mark under the signature. You cannot see it in a picture. This happens very frequently with lighter leathers when a cadenas is attached to the lock and the metal rubs on the leather Bottom: normal patina/wear as expected from a used bag Back: Same as front Sides: Good - nothing unusual to point out - normal wear patina Inside: Fair - with tiny dark spots on the toile Corners: Fair - with color loss and darkening (pls see pictures) Handles: Fair - no dryness just color loss and darkening of the leather (pls see pictures) Construction: The bag is slouchy and does not stand up by itself Please note: This bag was taken to Hermes for re-conditioning (at the Paris Faubourg store) and this is what we were told (any other Hermes craftsman will tell you the exact same thing): The bag looks fine the way it is - it is a great used bag - very laid back chic. Even if re-conditioned the handles will remain dark and so will the corners (typical with light(er) colored bags) Amazonia should be maintained on a regular basis with the wipes. The craftsman cannot do anything special to Amazonia rubber. The (very light) half moon ring cannot be removed on the lighter leathers We are very straightforward with our descriptions and tell it like it is. This is a pre-owned/used bag. It was used often, lovingly and frequently. We do not sugar paint the condition.
